Dead Weight Pressure Gauges Tester

Dead Weight Pressure Gauges Tester

For calibration of Pressure Gauges and other sensing, transmitting and recording pressure instruments. Relationship between pressure acting on the known area of a vertically free floating piston producing a force balanced by known dead weight is made use of in the Dead Weight Pressure Gauge Tester.

The main components of a Dead Weight Pressure Gauge Tester are:

  • Screw Pump to generate pressure in the circuit. Of adequate capacity and operated by turning the spoked handle. Permits easy and accurate setting of pressure.
  • Free Piston Assembly of special steel, hardened, tempered, ground and lapped to accurate size and very fine surface finish to provide true floating action.
  • Set of Weights directly marked in convenient values of pressure and easily stacked on the carrier weight. Available in either/and kgf/cm2, bar Cbf/in² units. Other units on request. Storage box provided. Incremental weights to provide smaller steps available at extra cost for all models mentioned below.
  • Gauge Connector of 1/2" BSP (female) union for connecting gauge to be tested. Other sizes of gauges can be connected by using adaptors.
  • Baseplate of sturdy construction provided with legs and levelling screws. The entire circuit is protected by a Sheet Metal Cover.

Model DT 56 : For calibration of vacuum gauges and other sensing, transmitting and recording vacuum instruments. The Vacuum Gauge. Tester is a quick and convenient method of calibration free from the disadvantages of using the fragile mercury manometer. The main components of the tester are:

SCREW PUMP to generate the vacuum in the tester conveniently and precisely. Of adequate capacity and operated by turning the spoked handle.

FREE PISTON Assembly of special steel, hardened, tempered, ground and lapped to accurate size and very fine surface finish to provide true floating action. The free piston is suspended vertically downwards from a rigid frame and connected by a pipe to the screw pump. A CARRIER weight is attached to the free piston for taking more weights.

VALVE is provided to connect the circuit to the atmosphere and thus check zero of the gauge.

GAUGE CONNECTOR of ½' BSP (female) union for connecting gauge to be tested. Other sizes of gauges can be connected by using adaptors.

  • Extension cable
  • Adopters ¼” BSP(M) X ¼” BSP(F)    - 1 No.
           ¼” BSP(M) X 3/8” BSP(F)    - 1 No.
           ¼” BSP(M) X ½ ” BSP(F)    - 1 No.
  • Vacuum or Pressure select Push Knob    - 1 No.
  • Washers for ¼”, 3/8”, & ½” Connection

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

This is a pneumatic hand pump. Both pressure and vacuum can be measured. Put the
master gauge on the front side of the pump where there is ¼” BSP female connection.
On the side of the body there is a 1/4”bsp male connection with a cap. Remove the cap and fix the one side of the cable provided .Other side of the cable fix the gauge to be calibrated. Ensure all the connections are leak proof. Start pumping, When you reach the required pressure stop pumping. To set the gauge exactly use the big knob either clockwise or anti clock wise. To release the pressure use the small knob.

If you want to measure vacuum there is a black knob with a rod. Insert the rod in the
hole where written push for vacuum.

Hand Held Hydraulic Pump

Hand Held Hydraulic Pump

Descriptions :

1.Lightweight hand held hydraulic pressure pump.
2.Pressure can be generated with fewer strokes by hand.
3.Generates pressure up to 400 Kg/cm2
4.Top ½ ” BSP (F) adopter for the Master gauge.
5.Side flexible tubing with ¼” BSP (F) adopter for gauges to be tested.
6.Side release knob for pressure.
7.Side zero adjuster knob
8.Hydraulic Oil container
Accuracy +/- 0.5%

Spares:

  • Extension cable
  • Adopters ¼” BSP (M) X ¼” BSP (F)    - 1 No.
           ¼” BSP (M) X 3/8” BSP (F)    - 1 No.
           ¼” BSP (M) X ½ ” BSP (F)    - 1 No.
  • Washers for ¼”, 3/8”, & ½” Connection
  • Hydraulic oil – ½   liter

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

This is a hydraulic pump. Use any hydraulic oil as pressure medium. First ensure there
is enough oil in the reservoir .There is a screw below the reservoir, remove it and fill oil
using an oil can and tight the screw. At the front there is a ½” BSP female connection.
Put the master gauge in that connection .At the side of the pump there is a 1/4 “ BSP male connection with a cap. Fix one side of the cable there and other end to the gauge to be calibrated. Tighten the release valve. First prime the pump. To prime push the rod below
the reservoir. Hold the rod pushing and start pumping. When priming is over release the
push rod. In this position the gap between the two handles is less. At the time of priming
the handle position  will be wider. There is a black knob which is used for fine adjust of
the gauge. To release the pressure open the release valve.

Temperature Calibration Bath

Temperature Calibration Bath

The Test instrument TB – 600 consist of two single enclosures. Front size 150 X 150 mm
& 280 mm depth. They are connected with each other & equipped with a portable handle.
The left enclosure contains a block with bore diameter of 18.5 mm & 110 mm depth
which can reached from the top, face the reception of the test piece. In this block the
heating cartridge & temperature sensor for the determination of the block temperature
are installed / accesses from the bottom.

The right enclosure contains:

1)PID controller for control of the block temperature in which we can see the set value
& present temperature of the block.
2)Power switches & power on indicator
3)Fan ON / OFF switch for cooling the block.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

The test instrument TB – 600 is a portable unit for service / calibrating / testing purpose as well as for operating & laboratory tasks.

1)After switching on the mains power switch the PID controller shows the temperature
of the block. (PV). Below that green color LED shows the set value of the block (SV).
To adjust the set point, press key (2) then a dot LED blinks near the first digit, then
using up key (3) & down key (4) set the 0 – 9 digit again push the (2) key to move
the dot LED to the second digit using up & down key. After setting the set point
value press the set (1) key for setting the temperatures. For auto tuning press (2) key
for 2 seconds the ‘At’ from OFF to ON. Then press (1) key to active the auto tuning process, During auto tuning, the instrument executes on contr. After 2 cycles of
ON – OFF action, the instrument will obtain the values of PID parameters. If you
want to escape from auto tuning status, press& hold key (2) for about 2 seconds
until ‘At’ parameters appear again. Change ‘At’ from ‘ON’ to ‘OFF’, press (1)  key
to confirm, then the auto tuning process will be cancelled.

1)The PV shows continuously the temperature of the heating block. If the adjusted set temperature in the heating block is reached, the heating energy radiated from the block is dispensed by short switching on pulses of the heating cartridge, so the temperature inside the block is kept constant.
2)Cooling down the heating lock can be done quickly by switching ON the fan which produces higher amount of cooling air.

ADAPTER POCKETS:

It has to be made sure that the heat transmission resistance between the heating block & the test piece (thermometer, temperature sensor, temperature switch) is as low as possible. Therefore it is necessary  to use exactly adapted pockets.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Regulation of the heating block            PID regulator
Temperature Range                Room temperature to 600 Deg C
Power Supply                    230 V AC, 50 Hz.
Power consumption                1000 Watts
Accuracy                        +/- 0.5 Deg C
